Following Sam Gellaitry’s remix of PinkPantheress’ “Passion” off her debut project to hell with it, the two talents have finally teamed up for an original collaboration, which has just landed on all streaming platforms in the form of “Picture in my mind.” Both artists have been signed with Warner’s Parlophone Records for a minute now, so it was only a matter of time before PinkPantheress and Sam Gellaitry collaborated on a tune, and “Picture in my mind” surpasses all expectations.
Driven by a groovy instrumental, courtesy of both artists, “Picture in my mind” masterfully combines their respective styles in a cohesive mix. Minimal percussion, groovy basslines and soulful chords make up the track’s backbone, while PinkPantheress’ intimate vocals nicely complement Sam Gellaitry’s charismatic delivery.
“Picture in my mind” directly follows PinkPantheress’ April single “Where you are” alongside WILLOW, as well as her feature on Mura Masa’s album single “bbycakes” alongside Lil Uzi Vert and Shygirl. Sam Gellaitry is also still riding high off his latest solo singles “ANGEL” and “NEW WAVE,” while also having made his debut on popular music NFT platform sound.xyz earlier this year.
