Indianapolis native Mathaius Young released Angel Deep on Friday, Dec. 18, a 10-track album featuring Michael Seven, Tre Capital, and WesWill. Ambezza, Dilip, Otxhello, FORTHENIGHT and more helped produce the new record alongside Young.
Young has slowly been releasing singles from Angel Deep throughout this year, beginning in January with “2 Cups,” then “Poppin’” in May, and finally, “Space Age Shit” in November. This year has undoubtedly been huge for Young, just as Lucid Monday predicted in April, with his song “Raw” featured in the movie The Last Shift that came out in September.
The 24-year-old artist, songwriter, and producer has previously worked with Don Toliver, Rockie Fresh, Sonny Digital, and Jazz Cartier. Pulling inspiration from Tyler the Creator, Pharrell Williams, and Jay Z, Mathaius Young has cultivated a fresh sound that is rooted in hip hop and R&B with a more alternative feel.
With a new home studio in Los Angeles, be sure to be on the lookout for much more to come from Mathaius Young in 2021.
